Hampton Group students Timothy Boman and John Ouma traveled to Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with Jennifer Hampton from June 29 to July 2 and visited the nanotribology lab of Erin Flater. The purpose of the trip, which was supported by the Midstates Consortium for Math and Science, was to use the atomic force microscope there to characterize electrodeposited iron, nickel, and permalloy thin films.
